Medicines Check
Information for Providers

Do you ever wonder what happens after the patient takes that medication home?

Time for most health professionals is of the essence and some patients need more of your time than others. More and more Governments are now utilising pharmacists to become more integrated in the health care team, using their training to help people understand their medicines and take responsibility for their own health. Targeting compliance and comprehension by the patient, with a feedback loop to other members of the patient’s health care team. In New Zealand the consultations are referred to as MURs. But we prefer to call them “Medicines Check”.

MUR basics

Medicines Check involves a patented web-based software service for measuring the effectiveness of these pharmacy consultations. Being electronic it follows a structured consultation process, allowing for rapid reporting of health outcomes showing savings in public health funds.

It’s been endorsed by the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, implemented in some of New Zealand’s more progressive District Health Board’s and we’ve established strong demand for the software as a service in England, Wales and Scotland.

What can it do for you?
