Medicines Check was first started in his own pharmacy, when he saw an opportunity to create a system which captured highly sort after results orientated health information which was completely centered on the patient. The system has since been refined and Des has toured the country introducing the Medicines Check to New Zealand pharmacists, GPs and various governmental agencies. He has also been asked to present to major stakeholders in the UK and Scotland who are now looking at piloting the system.

In ensuring the continual quality improvement of the site, Melanie has a very in depth view and knowledge of its operation.  Melanie is also involved in training and demonstrations to new users and user groups and liaises with funders and providers on a regular basis.
